Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in pastry or baking
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage food costs and payroll
  • capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • ability to obtain relevant food handling certification

Job Qualifications

  • To be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
  • maintain cleanliness of work area at all times
  • basic math skills needed to understand and implement recipes and measurements
  • maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance
  • move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • requires repetitive motion
  • ability to obtain Riverside County Food Handlers Card
  • must be available weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide direction for interviewing, hiring, counseling, training, and disciplining for Pastry associates in coordination with Human Resources and Executive Chef
  • schedule production work for associates
  • control all food costs and payroll
  • responsible for purchasing supplies
  • coordinate production of all baked goods and dessert items ordered by outlets
  • complete any special requests ordered by outlets or other departments
  • prepare wedding cakes for social functions as needed
  • coordinate and execute VIP amenities and lobby activations
