Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum four years of experience in culinary or food and beverage industry
- Or two-year degree from an accredited institution in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field
- Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve complaints
- Skilled in inventory management and scheduling
- Proficient in operating kitchen equipment and maintaining standards
Job Qualifications

- Four years of experience in culinary, food and beverage or related professional area
- Or a two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with two years of relevant experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with labor management and scheduling systems

Job Duties
- Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures
- Estimates daily production needs and communicates them to kitchen personnel
- Assists Executive Chef with kitchen operations and preparation
- Prepares and cooks various food items for regular service and special functions
- Develops new food applications, ideas, and decorative presentations
- Maintains purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Performs kitchen manager and staff duties as necessary
- Supervises and coordinates activities of kitchen staff
- Leads shifts while preparing food items to required specifications
- Utilizes interpersonal skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members
- Builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among employees
- Communicates performance expectations and recognizes success
- Provides exceptional customer service and handles guest complaints
- Achieves and exceeds performance, budget, and team goals
- Trains employees in safety procedures
- Coaches and mentors staff to improve skills and knowledge
- Participates in employee performance appraisals
- Communicates with supervisors and co-workers regarding operational matters
