Job Requirements

  • Certification in Pastry Arts or comparable experience
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years professional pastry kitchen experience
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Completion or ability to obtain Food Service Manager certification within 90 days
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to work varying hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop for extended periods
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Must follow company dress code
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Arrive ready and dressed according to dress code
  • Get your assignment from Executive Pastry Chef
  • Lead the pastry team and assign tasks
  • Master the menu and flow with pre-shift briefings
  • Set up the kitchen with ingredients and tools
  • Oversee pastry production ensuring quality and consistency
  • Coordinate with event teams for plating and service
  • Practice safe food handling and sanitation
  • Maintain cleanliness and supervise kitchen breakdown
  • Coach and mentor pastry staff
  • Monitor staffing and budget efficiency
  • Track attendance and performance
  • Complete shift documentation
  • Support production kitchen and off-premises events
  • Engage in hiring, training, and evaluations
  • Attend department meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
