Job Requirements
- Relevant culinary or pastry arts degree or certification
- Minimum 3 years experience in pastry production
- Experience in a luxury hotel or upscale resort environment preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to lead and inspire a culinary team
Job Qualifications
- Specialized advanced pastry training or education
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or pastry sous chef
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of pastry production techniques
- Ability to produce custom wedding cakes
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Oversee the production of baked goods and pastries
- Schedule and manage pastry staff
- Ensure high food quality standards
- Supervise and train pastry team members
- Select, train, develop and counsel employees
- Produce wedding cakes for event space
- Collaborate with event coordinators and guests
