Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a professional full-service kitchen
- Experience in an upscale restaurant preferred
- Graduate of an apprenticeship program or culinary school preferred
- Ability to supervise kitchen staff
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Must comply with county health standards
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an apprenticeship program or culinary school preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in a professional full-service kitchen
- Experience in an upscale restaurant preferred
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Supervise 1-3 teammates in the kitchen
- Performance of assigned staff and ensure that all procedures are completed to department standards
- Implement and create new menu items and/or daily specials with direction from the Chef de Cuisine and Pastry Sous Chef
- Aid Chef de Cuisine and Pastry Sous Chef with physical inventories at month-end
- Track invoices and labor to maintain cost controls
- Assist Chef de Cuisine or Pastry Sous Chef with scheduling and ensure staff follows schedule accordingly
- Create and implement the use of prep lists to keep production on schedule
