Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years culinary supervisory experience or applicable leadership
- ServSafe certification
- Ability to work early mornings Monday to Friday with some weekends and holidays
- Strong pastry skills and culinary knowledge
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Commitment to food safety hygiene and allergen management
- Ability to manage inventory and reduce waste
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications
- Willingness to uphold company policies and sustainable sourcing guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Degree in culinary arts with pastry specialization preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years kitchen supervisory or culinary leadership experience in a high-volume quality food service
- Inspirational value-driven leadership with a strong sense of purpose and responsibility
- Passionate about exceptional pastry arts and hospitality
- Excellent communication skills for guiding and collaborating with diverse teams
- Proficient in Google Suite applications
- Knowledge of hospitality and sustainable food practices
- High health and safety standards as a core priority
- Ability to work independently with initiative and as part of a team
- Experience managing in a union environment is a plus
- ServSafe certification required
- Thrives in fast-paced dynamic culinary environments
Job Duties
- Actively promote a culture of food and workplace safety ensuring adherence to PPE hygiene and allergen standards
- Follow all menu specifications production and prep expectations using checklists to ensure consistency
- Prepare a wide variety of pastry items complementing overall food operations
- Provide friendly and engaging hospitality ensuring memorable guest interactions
- Support weekly inventory management maintaining optimal stock and minimizing waste
- Train mentor and develop team members fostering a motivated pastry team
- Assist in sustainable sourcing ensuring products meet food purchasing standards
- Collaborate with Executive Pastry Chef to implement employee guidelines and company policies
