Job Requirements

  • 3 years of professional pastry experience
  • Degree from recognized culinary institution or equivalent hands-on experience
  • ServSafe certified or equivalent preferred
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and health codes
  • Strong skills in baking fundamentals, laminated doughs, chocolate, sugar work and plated desserts
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to manage stressful and emergency situations

Job Qualifications

  • 3 years of professional pastry experience
  • Prior culinary leadership experience preferred
  • Degree from recognized culinary institution or equivalent
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Strong baking fundamentals, laminated doughs, chocolate, sugar work and plated desserts skills
  • Proven leadership and coaching abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and health codes
  • Strong organization, time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work in high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Creativity in menu development and problem-solving
  • Flexible schedule availability

Job Duties

  • Prepare and finish pastries, breads, confections, and plated desserts to specifications
  • Deliver an exceptional dining experience ensuring food quality and consistency
  • Assist in creating daily specials and writing seasonal menus
  • Supervise and train pastry team members providing feedback and development
  • Lead kitchen shifts ensuring station setup, equipment functionality, cleaning schedules, and closing procedures
  • Create and foster a clean, organized, collaborative, and positive kitchen culture
  • Plan daily prep and production schedules coordinating service, manage inventory and food cost, maintain food safety compliance
