Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in a kitchen or pastry role
- Ability to work 45-50 hours per week
- Capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Proficient in English
- Physical ability to bend, reach, and stoop as needed

Job Duties
- Acts in a responsible manner that promotes the culture, values and mission of The Salty
- Sets an example for their team by maintaining consistent attendance, punctuality and cleanliness
- Directs the team to ensure proper training and updates them as needed of any changes
- Ensures all teams uphold Salty's standards of product quality
- Trains new team members in the kitchen during their orientation/onboarding/training period
- Communicates effectively with other kitchen leaders including the Pastry Chef and other leads
- Forms a strong, cohesive team that enjoys working together by providing an environment that promotes growth and accountability
- Praises the team on both small and large victories to promote a positive work environment
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all kitchen disciplines such as dough mixing, overnight bake, decoration and prep
- Understands donut quantities needed for each day and manages decoration pace
- Communicates with FOH manager to adjust production quantities
- Ensures donuts are ready and leave on time according to delivery schedule
- Executes special orders like custom letters, shapes and donut towers
- Assists Pastry Chef in prioritizing kitchen tasks and keeping team focused
- Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen including organizing and cleaning stations
- Helps ensure product quality and freshness through proper handling and FIFO processes
- Inputs production quantities into software to plan prep and raw goods
- Performs inventory and assists with administrative tasks
- Participates in weekly inventory and scheduling
- Works in standing position for up to 10 hours and lifts up to 30 pounds
- Works weekends and holidays
- Communicates fluently in English
- Carries out other related responsibilities as assigned
