Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar role
- ability to work 45-50 hours per week including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand for up to 10 hours, bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds
- fluency in English
- willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment
- ability to adapt to a fast-paced work setting
- strong organizational skills
- reliable attendance and punctuality

- knowledge of artisan donut making and various kitchen stations

- familiarity with pastry and bakery quality standards
- culinary training or relevant certifications preferred

Job Duties
- Act in a responsible manner that promotes the culture, values and mission of The Salty
- set an example for the team by maintaining consistent attendance, punctuality and cleanliness
- direct the team for proper training and update them on changes
- ensure all team members uphold Salty's standards of product quality
- train new team members on kitchen stations during orientation
- communicate effectively with other leaders including the Pastry Chef
- form a strong, cohesive team by promoting growth and accountability with a humanized leadership approach
- praise team members on small and large victories to foster positivity
- have thorough knowledge of all kitchen disciplines and fill in for any BOH team member as needed
- understand daily donut quantity breakdowns
- maintain decoration pace and time decorators
- communicate with FOH manager to adjust production quantities
- manage store delivery and driver schedules
- execute special orders and menu items
- help keep team focused on kitchen tasks
- maintain standards for glaze consistency, filling weights, flavor, dough texture, and visual aesthetics
- be knowledgeable of all Salty Donut dough recipes
- conduct donut counts during opening shifts
- alert Pastry Chef of inconsistencies in dough or donut quality
- communicate with Lead Prep Cook to ensure quality and quantity of prep items
- maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- ensure product freshness with FIFO methods
- use Parsley software for production planning and inventory
- assist with administrative tasks and scheduling
- perform inventory upon request
- work in a standing position for long periods
- bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds
- work weekends and holidays
- communicate fluently in English
- perform other related duties as assigned
