Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience working in baking or pastry preparation
  • valid certification in food safety
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and long periods of walking or standing
  • willingness to wear personal protective equipment and designated uniforms
  • strong communication skills
  • commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Background in the baking industry or a related field
  • proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and adherence to food safety protocols
  • certification in food safety
  • understanding of basic mathematical principles and ability to execute accurate counting
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong interpersonal abilities
  • ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • experience using personal protective equipment and wearing designated uniforms

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • set up workstation with all the required baking supplies and equipment
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize the ingredients
  • use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • safely employ kitchen tools, such as knives, when engaging in food prep activities
  • implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
  • sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work
  • demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
  • abide by Aramark safety policies, emphasizing food safety and sanitation practices
  • maintain the security of company assets through strict adherence to designated safety measures
