Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in baking or culinary arts preferred
  • food safety certification is required
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • effective communication skills
  • willingness to wear personal protective equipment and company uniforms as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Background in the baking industry or a related field
  • proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and adherence to food safety protocols
  • certification in food safety
  • understanding basic mathematical principles and executing accurate counting
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong interpersonal abilities in interactions with others
  • ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • ability to utilize personal protective equipment and wear designated uniforms as required

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • set up your workstation with all the required baking supplies and equipment
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize the ingredients
  • use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • safely employ kitchen tools, such as knives, when engaging in food prep activities
  • implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
  • after finishing work, remember to sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to prevent the spread of germs
  • demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor when assisting guests, clients, customers, colleagues, and others
  • abide by Aramark safety policies, emphasizing the importance of adhering to food safety and sanitation practices
  • maintain the security of company assets through strict adherence to designated safety measures
