Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in baking or food preparation
- certification in food safety
- ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
- physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
- willingness to wear personal protective equipment and uniforms
- strong communication and customer service skills
- commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Background in the baking industry or a related field
- understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and adherence to food safety protocols
- certification for obtaining food safety
- basic mathematical skills including accurate counting
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong interpersonal abilities
- ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing
- ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and wear designated uniforms
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- set up workstation with all required baking supplies and equipment
- measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize ingredients
- use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
- safely employ kitchen tools such as knives when engaging in food prep activities
- implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
- sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to prevent the spread of germs after finishing work
- demonstrate commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
- abide by Aramark safety policies, emphasizing food safety and sanitation practices
- maintain security of company assets through strict adherence to safety measures
