Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in baking or pastry making preferred
  • Certification in food safety required
  • Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking
  • Strong commitment to hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and uniforms

Job Qualifications

  • Background in the baking industry or a related field
  • Proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and adherence to food safety protocols
  • Certification in food safety
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical principles and accurate counting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and wear designated uniforms

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • Set up workstation with all required baking supplies and equipment
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize ingredients
  • Use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • Safely employ kitchen tools, such as knives, during food preparation
  • Implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
  • Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work to prevent germ spread
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor when assisting guests, clients, colleagues, and customers
  • Abide by Aramark safety policies, emphasizing food safety and sanitation
  • Maintain security of company assets through adherence to safety measures
