Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
  • Certification in food safety required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings or weekends as needed
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety policies and personal protective equipment use

Job Qualifications

  • Background in the baking industry or a related field
  • Proven understanding of baking practices and benchmarks
  • Certification in food safety
  • Ability to understand basic mathematical principles and execute accurate counting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Physical capability to handle lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • Willingness to use personal protective equipment and wear designated uniforms as required

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • Set up workstation with all required baking supplies and equipment
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize ingredients
  • Use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • Safely employ kitchen tools such as knives during food preparation activities
  • Implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
  • Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work to prevent the spread of germs
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor when assisting guests, clients, customers, and colleagues
  • Abide by Aramark safety policies focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • Maintain security of company assets through strict adherence to designated safety measures
