Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in baking or food preparation
  • Food safety certification
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to wear designated uniforms and personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Background in the baking industry or related field
  • Proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and food safety protocols
  • Certification in food safety
  • Ability to understand basic mathematical principles and execute accurate counting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing
  • Experience using personal protective equipment and wearing uniforms

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • Set up workstation with all the required baking supplies and equipment
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize the ingredients
  • Use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • Safely employ kitchen tools such as knives when engaging in food prep activities
  • Implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
  • Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
  • Abide by safety policies, emphasizing food safety and sanitation practices
  • Maintain security of company assets through adherence to safety measures
