Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in baking or food preparation preferred
  • certification in food safety required
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work under pressure and maintain productivity
  • physical capability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • willingness to comply with safety and sanitation protocols
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers

Job Qualifications

  • Background in the baking industry or a related field
  • understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and food safety protocols
  • certification in food safety
  • ability to perform basic math and accurate counting
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong interpersonal skills in interactions
  • ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • willing to use personal protective equipment and wear designated uniforms

Job Duties

  • Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • set up workstation with required baking supplies and equipment
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, and organize ingredients
  • use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • safely employ kitchen tools such as knives during food prep activities
  • implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
  • sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils after finishing work
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor
  • abide by Aramark safety policies emphasizing food safety and sanitation
  • maintain security of company assets by adhering to safety measures
