Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong communication skills

Job Duties
- Adheres to Earth Fare vision standard operating procedures and merchandising guidelines with a strong emphasis on customer service safety and sanitation
- Bake and decorate cakes cupcakes and other pastries according to Earth Fare's standard operating procedures
- Fill par levels established by the Bakery Manager set and maintain pastry case and sales floor to include product signage proper rotation and freshness
- Provide excellent customer service at the bakery counter and other areas as needed
- Turn ovens and other equipment on and off as required
- Scoop batter for muffins cookies and breakfast items to prepare for the following days production
- Package dry case items to move baked goods to sales floor
- Wrap pastry trays to ensure proper freshness and storage
- Slice bread for customers as needed
- Participate in scheduled inventory counts attend required department and store meetings and perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned by the Bakery Manager
- Maintain an attractive sales floor by implementing Earth Fare merchandising guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness sanitation and overall organization of the department including all fixtures storage work stations freezers and coolers
