Job Requirements
- high school diploma
- 5 years experience in a high end resort or casino with 500+ rooms preferred
- apprenticeship or culinary trade school degree preferred
- ability to maintain professional demeanor and appearance
- knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- capability to supervise staff and manage kitchen operations
- commitment to safety and emergency response protocols

Job Duties
- maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance
- wear proper uniform and footwear at all times
- consult supervisor if unsure of tasks and procedures
- store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled
- follow food handlers' guidelines
- sign in and out on the authorized form with supervisor initial
- clean all small equipment immediately after use and supervise staff adherence
- prepare items listed on production sheet
- rotate old stock first and confirm freshness
- date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in
- supervise baker/pastry cooks in production, sanitation and adherence to company procedures
- participate in the development of bread and dessert menus
- produce material and food requisitions
- demonstrate commitment to safety and emergency procedures
- perform other duties as necessary
