Job Requirements

  • Pastry, bakery, or kitchen experience preferred
  • ability to work different shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift items up to 100 pounds
  • knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Assist pastry production team, chefs, and cooks with mixing pastry products
  • plate cold meals such as fruit salads and pastries
  • use knife skills for cutting and peeling fruit
  • perform tasks in different stations including fruit cutting, economy packing, juice and basket stations, assembling and plating food
  • comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • report problems with the food safety management system to management
  • keep immediate work area clean at all times
  • ensure adequacy of supplies at cooking stations
  • store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards
  • assist kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks
  • help maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
