Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous bakery or pastry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Customer service experience desirable
- Pastry decorating experience desirable
- Retail experience desirable
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Assist Pastry team with preparing desserts and pastries as needed
- Take cake orders, ensure the department has fresh fruits and products, and maintain a fully stocked display case
- Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts
- Decorate cakes and pastries for customers
- Use artistic skills to create beautifully decorated cakes and pastries and mix colors for icing
- Effectively communicate with management and baking team to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests or other team members
- Conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure proper levels
- Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Work with various professional bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
- Take food orders in person and by telephone
- All other duties as assigned
