Job Requirements

  • Willingness to work weekdays, nights, weekends and/or holidays
  • 1+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery setting
  • Proficient in cake writing using buttercream or gel icing
  • Demonstrated ability to decorate cakes neatly and creatively
  • Strong attention to detail and steady hand for precision work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Write personalized messages on cakes using various piping techniques with accuracy and aesthetic appeal
  • Decorate cakes with buttercream, fondant, and other finishing elements as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry station in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in inventory management, including labeling and storing ingredients
  • Collaborate with the pastry team to ensure timely and high-quality product output during peak periods
  • Follow safety regulations, reporting injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor
  • Handle food in a manner consistent with local health department guidelines
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinate the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense
