Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience working with pastry in a hotel or standalone restaurant
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • valid food safety certification preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow recipes and safety procedures
  • physical stamina to perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with pastry in a hotel or standalone restaurant
  • valid food safety certification considered an asset
  • ability to work both AM and PM shifts including weekends and holidays
  • knowledge of food sanitation standards
  • creativity in developing new pastry products
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • good organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus as needed
  • practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
