Job Requirements

  • Relevant culinary experience preferred
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work under a union collective bargaining agreement
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to adhere to food safety standards
  • Flexibility with work schedule and hours
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a pastry cook or in a similar culinary role
  • Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
