Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the culinary field
  • Sanitation and Food Handling Certificate required
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Flexible availability based on event demands
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, organize work and follow through with assigned tasks
  • Ability to think clearly, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet production schedules and timelines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism
  • Ability to maintain a clean, neat and organized work environment
  • Ability to follow recipes and adjust them as necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, intense work environment under heat and stress
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs across short to medium distances
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift while reaching, bending and stooping
  • Must be able to work on site daily
  • Must be able to handle manual labor involving whisking, chopping, piping, and repetitive hand movements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Baking and Pastry degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the culinary field
  • Sanitation and Food Handling Certificate required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to follow recipes and adjust quantities as needed
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks
  • Ability to maintain clean, neat and organized work environment
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear thinker with good judgment and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all pastry kitchen production areas
  • Follow established recipes and plating guides to exact specifications
  • Organize and maintain pastry station and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Complete mise en place to the satisfaction of Executive Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef
  • Maintain and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Follow all sanitation and health regulations strictly
  • Rotate, label and date all food on station
