Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience in bakery or pastry culinary food service
  • Active health card
  • Ability to work in various kitchen environments with varying noise, temperature and air quality
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
  • Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to transport, push, pull and maneuver items weighing up to 150 lbs
  • Ability to comply with policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Tolerance for exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum 1-year experience in bakery or pastry culinary food service
  • Demonstrated good knife skills
  • Understanding of culinary terms and techniques
  • Ability to foster teamwork and provide excellent guest service
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and guests
  • Holds an active health card

Job Duties

  • Prep and execute all menu items according to standards, station, restaurant or kitchen as directed by the Master cooks, Chef de Parties, Sous Chefs and Chefs
  • Work in a clean, safe and organized manner
  • Maintain proper fire and ticket times
  • Assist with replacing daily requisitions and rotating and storing them
  • Restocks dishes and silverware as required
  • Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management
