Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years previous culinary and pastry experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • schedule availability to work weekend and afternoon/evening shifts
  • active food handler's certification or ability to get it
  • strong organizational skills
  • must be able to work independently
  • able to be on feet for long periods of time
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • at least 18 years of age
  • have a desire to exceed expectations
  • an energetic personality
  • must have attention to detail

Job Duties

  • prepare all dishes in accordance with standards of quality, quantity control, taste, and presentation as established by the Pastry Chef
  • maintain food storage areas and receive, store, and rotate food stock
  • keep a clean and orderly work area especially for the crew behind you
  • work weekends and afternoon/evening shifts as required
  • assist the Pastry Chef in production and fabrication of food products for Barking Frog, Fireside, and Banquets/Catering
  • maintain quality and consistency in pastry products
  • follow food safety and hygiene standards
