Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • Ability to stand sit or walk for extended periods
  • Capability to lift 25 pounds and move over uneven surfaces
  • Follow food safety handling policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Technical trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of baking and pastry preparation techniques
  • Ability to maintain food safety standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings proofing baking and decorating
  • Review production sheet to understand daily baked goods variety
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality and presentation standards and food prep checklists
  • Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
  • Keep chef informed of excess food items for daily specials planning
  • Use baking and measuring tools equipment and appliances safely and appropriately
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures including personal hygiene
