Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 25 pounds or less
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to move on uneven or slippery surfaces
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and crouch
  • Ability to follow food safety and hygiene policies
  • No supervisory experience required
  • No certification or license required

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Vocational, technical, or trade school diploma preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and quality standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings
  • Examine daily production sheets to plan baked goods
  • Bake, test, and decorate products as needed
  • Maintain kitchen records in compliance with food safety standards
  • Use kitchen tools and appliances safely and properly
  • Monitor food quality and portion control throughout shifts
  • Report excess food to kitchen management for daily specials planning
  • Follow food safety and personal hygiene policies
  • Check appliance and food temperatures and report issues
  • Assist management in training and motivating kitchen staff
  • Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Foster positive team relationships and handle sensitive issues tactfully
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and working on varied surfaces
  • Execute other reasonable duties as assigned
