Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous pastry cook experience
- Ability to read and understand basic pastry cooking directions
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds on occasion
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Willingness to adhere to company policies regarding benefits, call-outs, vacation hours, and uniform standards

Job Duties
- Set up station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines
- Prepare all pastry items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Pastry Chef or restaurant
- Restock all items as needed throughout shift and take inventory after service
- Clean and maintain station practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
- Properly use and maintain all equipment in station
- Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Pastry Chef, Sous Chef or chef de partie
