Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • assist with inventory as scheduled
  • follow the maintenance program and cleaning schedule
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • perform additional duties in other areas of the kitchen as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Previous luxury hotel experience or related work experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent completion of vocational or trade school program
  • fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
  • ability to expand or condense recipes
  • ability to comprehend and follow recipes
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy

Job Duties

  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with the pastry team, collaborating to achieve common objectives
  • meet with Pastry Chef/Sous Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other information pertinent to the job performance
  • handle and resolve guest complaints effectively to ensure complete guest satisfaction
  • maintain comprehensive knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • understand and follow correct maintenance procedures for equipment and use equipment only for its intended purpose
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation, health regulations, and hotel requirements
