Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous luxury hotel or related work experience
- Completion of vocational or trade school program
- Fluency in English
- Ability to comprehend and follow recipes
- Capability to work independently
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Adherence to health and sanitation regulations
- Willingness to perform additional duties as required
- Capability to follow cleaning schedules and maintenance programs
Job Qualifications
- Previous luxury hotel or related culinary work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of vocational or trade school program
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
- Ability to expand and condense recipes
- Ability to comprehend and follow recipes
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions
Job Duties
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with the pastry team
- Meet with Pastry Chef/Sous Chef to review assignments and business levels
- Handle and resolve guest complaints effectively
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies and standards
- Understand and follow correct maintenance procedures for equipment
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas
- Maintain and abide by State sanitation, health regulations, and hotel requirements
- Complete opening duties including setting up workstation, inspecting tools and equipment, reviewing production schedule, and informing Pastry Chef of supply needs
- Transport supplies and prepare items needed for the day
- Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain food costs
- Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables
- Transport dirty pots and pans to pot wash station and assist Stewards
- Complete closing duties including returning food items to proper storage, rotating products, and cleaning prep areas
- Ice down hot items for rapid cooling
- Turn off unneeded equipment and restock items
- Review work status with Pastry Chef before leaving
- Assist with inventory and follow cleaning schedules
- Adhere to quality expectations and standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned in the kitchen
