Job Requirements

  • 3+ years baking and pastry in a professional kitchen
  • 1+ year experience supervising a team of 5+ employees in a commercial setting
  • current health code certification (per State and Local DOH requirements)
  • proven attention to detail
  • current Servsafe certification (preferred)

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • ability to lift and carry 35lbs on a consistent basis and up to 55lbs occasionally
  • ability to adhere to strict personal hygiene and standards of dress consistent with policy

Job Duties

  • Prepares a wide variety of pastries and desserts according to prescribed recipes and/or supervises the preparation of these items according to prescribed recipes
  • supervises the pastry team in the organization and execution of timely food preparation
  • supervises other Reserve Kitchen partners in the absence of a manager
  • ensures the team meets its commitment to track and log production and HACCP logs
  • may support the Production Manager with hiring and training activities as needed
  • facilitates an accurate production schedule to ensure orders are fulfilled
  • receives and manages ingredients and supplies, reports defective or inadequate inventory and equipment to manager
  • places orders as needed and assigned by their leader
  • supports with weekly inventory counts and recording of daily production
  • performs other duties as assigned by their leader in support of the kitchen
