Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to follow safety and security policies
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • Prepare cold foods
  • Operate kitchen appliances including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • Test foods for proper cooking
  • Monitor food quality
  • Set up and break down work stations
  • Serve food in proper portions
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Ensure correct temperature of appliances and food
  • Follow company safety and security policies
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Develop positive working relationships
  • Support team goals
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
