Job Qualifications

  • Culinary school preferred
  • minimum 1 year experience in pastry or bakery
  • ability to communicate and understand basic English
  • physical ability to perform some heavy lifting
  • knowledge of pastry preparation techniques
  • ability to read and follow recipes accurately
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry items
  • maintain a high degree of cleanliness throughout the cooking area
  • read and follow menus and recipes
  • compute basic mathematical calculations
  • work a flexible schedule
  • understand and efficiently work allocated pastry stations
  • handle banquet and restaurant plated desserts
  • manage general bakery production
  • demonstrate knowledge of at least two pastry stations
