Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to stand sit or walk for long periods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting objects up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to follow company policies and safety standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Flexibility to perform various job duties as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year of related pastry or culinary work experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes and food preparation guidelines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Willingness to complete required safety training and certifications
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- Weigh measure and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- Prepare cold foods
- Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
- Test foods for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation
- Set-up and break down work station
- Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment
- Check correctness of temperature of appliances and food
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Protect company assets
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals
- Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Stand sit or walk for extended periods or entire work shifts
- Perform physical tasks such as bending twisting pulling stooping and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
