Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a pastry cook or related culinary experience
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to follow instructions and work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a pastry cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
  • knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • ability to follow recipes accurately
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong attention to detail and creativity
  • good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
