Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen
  • culinary degree preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • knowledge of pastry techniques and procedures
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • strong attention to detail
  • willingness to follow health and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • refined verbal communication skills
  • 2 years of previous professional pastry kitchen experience required
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
  • candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills
  • a minimum of 1 year high production kitchen experience preferred
  • flexible schedule
  • a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties

  • prepare all pastry products as trained in accordance to Pastry Shop standards
  • assist higher level bakers
  • other duties as assigned by management
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry workstations
  • ensure timely production of pastry items
  • monitor quality and consistency of products
  • adhere to health and safety regulations
