Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Less than 1-year related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work on uneven or slippery surfaces

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely and appropriately
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, reporting issues to management
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down work station
  • Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
