Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of professional pastry cook experience
- Ability to perform assigned culinary tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to perform other duties as needed within the hotel
- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of previous pastry cook experience
- A culinary pastry degree or related hotel experience preferred
- Ability to perform all basic and intermediate pastry cooking skills
- Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with guests and colleagues
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Perform all prep as assigned by Pastry Chef
- Properly set up station according to guidelines
- Master assigned station and assist others as needed
- Monitor food quality
- Prepare dishes according to guidelines
- Maintain cooking technique and presentation standards
- Complete special projects and deep cleaning as assigned by Pastry Chef
- Return all items to their zoned locations
- Clean and stock station before checking out with Pastry Chef
- Deliver passionate and engaging service to guests according to the GUEST model
- Build solid relationships with colleagues and treat them with respect and dignity
- Perform other duties as assigned within the hotel to support operations
