Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous culinary or baking experience
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to maintain sanitary work environment
- attention to detail
- ability to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
- solid knife handling skills
- pastry and baked goods knowledge
- ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversions
- positive and hard-working attitude
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- passion for creating pastries and desserts
- associates degree in baking and pastry (preferred)
Job Duties
- prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per established recipes
- ensure all food items are plated professionally
- assist in determining appropriate quantity of baked goods for each food and beverage outlet
- taste test pastry items to ensure consistent quality
- complete production records accurately and timely
- assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus
- clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at end of each shift
