Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent such as General Educational Development (GED)
  • less than one year of related work experience
  • ability to follow safety and hygiene procedures
  • physical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and perform tasks for extended periods
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to move and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • adherence to personal appearance and uniform standards

Job Qualifications

  • no supervisory experience required
  • no specific license or certification required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
  • prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing them before use
  • safely and properly use kitchen tools, equipment, and appliances for measuring and baking food
  • follow and ensure compliance with food handling safety policies, including personal hygiene procedures
  • check and ensure proper temperature of kitchen appliances and food, and report any issues to management
  • wash and sanitize kitchen areas, set up and divide workstations, and follow hygiene and cleaning procedures
  • monitor food quality and portions served throughout the workday
  • comply with all company policies and safety procedures
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others and handle phones using proper protocol
  • cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with team members and support team objectives
  • adhere to quality expectations and standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, pull, and position objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • perform reasonable additional job duties as requested by supervisors
