Job Requirements

  • associate degree in baking and pastry preferred
  • previous experience in a 4 diamond or 4 star hotel or restaurant
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of pastry and baked goods preparation
  • good knife handling skills
  • ability to calculate figures such as recipe yields, serving size, weight, and temperature conversion
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries for all f&b outlets per established recipes
  • use attention to detail to ensure all food items are plated professionally
  • assist in determining the appropriate quantity of baked goods for each f&b outlet
  • taste test pastry items made from production to ensure consistent quality
  • complete production records in an accurate and timely manner
  • assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis
  • clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain proper sanitation and orderliness
