Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in baking and pastry
- ability to follow established recipes and quality standards
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- knowledge of proper sanitation and safety standards
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in a 4 diamond or 4 star hotel or restaurant
- solid knife handling skills
- knowledge of pastry and baked goods
- ability to calculate recipe yields, serving size, weight and temperature conversion
- associate degree in baking and pastry (preferred)
Job Duties
- prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries for all food and beverage outlets per established recipes
- ensure all food items are plated professionally
- assist in determining the appropriate quantity of baked goods for each outlet
- taste test pastry items to ensure consistent quality
- complete production records accurately and timely
- assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus
- clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain sanitation and orderliness
