Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of pastry or baking experience
  • formal culinary or pastry training preferred
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • knowledge of pastry techniques, scaling, mise en place, and knife handling
  • proficiency with pastry and bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and scales
  • ability to stand for long periods and work under pressure
  • ability to tolerate varied temperature ranges
  • ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds
  • strong English language comprehension
  • adherence to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations
  • option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of pastry or baking experience
  • prior experience in a hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant/bakery preferred
  • formal culinary or pastry training strongly preferred
  • high school diploma or GED
  • knowledge of pastry techniques, scaling, mise en place, and knife handling
  • proficiency with pastry and bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and scales
  • strong English language comprehension

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastries, breads, desserts, sauces, and other items according to standard recipes and guest expectations
  • Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and rotation to ensure freshness and compliance with standards
  • Set up and break down stations with necessary prep, equipment, and ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with health department guidelines
  • Assist with large-scale banquet functions and special pastry projects
  • Train and guide junior pastry staff as directed by chefs
  • Ensure pastry quality, consistency, and presentation meet four diamond standards
  • Perform general cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned by the executive pastry chef or sous chefs
