Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • less than 1 year related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to follow food safety and hygiene protocols
  • physical capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and stand for extended periods
  • ability to maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • effective communication skills
  • willingness to perform other reasonable duties as assigned

  • basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and culinary methods

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping and storing food
  • safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment and appliances
  • follow and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene procedures
  • check and report correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
  • wash and disinfect kitchen areas and set-up and break-down workstations
  • monitor food quality and portions throughout the shift
