Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or g.e.d. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds
  • willingness to complete safety training and certifications
  • adherence to company safety and security policies

Job Duties

  • prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
  • operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • monitor food quality during preparation
  • set-up and break down work station
  • serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
  • wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • check and ensure correctness of appliance and food temperatures
  • follow company safety and security policies and report any hazards
  • maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • support team goals and respond to concerns appropriately
