Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Less than 1-year related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Commitment to following safety and sanitation procedures
  • Professional personal appearance and confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to safely use kitchen tools and appliances
  • Strong attention to food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances
  • Follow food safety handling policies and procedures
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, reporting issues to management
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down work station
  • Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
