Job Requirements

  • At least six months pastry experience or recent pastry graduate
  • ability to support banquet production under fast-paced conditions
  • full availability including early mornings, mid-shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • capability to maintain workstation setup and hygiene standards
  • ability to follow recipes and quality standards
  • compliance with food safety regulations
  • union membership as applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum six months of pastry experience or recent pastry graduate
  • prior experience in hotel pastry or large batch production preferred
  • knowledge of pastry preparation, decoration, and baking techniques
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong attention to detail and consistency
  • effective communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
