Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum six months of pastry experience or recent graduation from a recognized pastry program
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, mid-shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to adhere to workplace safety and sanitation regulations
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Available to work full-time in a union position

Job Qualifications

  • At least six months of pastry experience or recent pastry graduate
  • Prior hotel, large-batch or pastry decoration experience considered a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
