Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant pastry cook experience
  • Prior experience in a hotel culinary environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness standards and comply with sanitation regulations
  • Capacity to handle stocking and inventory tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and quality

Job Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of pastry and bakery experience
  • Previous experience working in a hotel setting
  • Ability to follow recipes and quality standards accurately
  • Knowledge of food sanitation and safety regulations
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • Creativity to develop new pastry products
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
